Practicing virtually offers a unique opportunity to really be with yourself in the instruction, and go even deeper than you may in an in person class. Most of us are new to virtual classes, so here are a few tips to make things easy and to use out time together as efficiently as possible.

How to Attend

The class takes place via zoom.us. Zoom is very easy to use It is highly recommended that you do download zoom to the device you are using to attend the class. Once you register you will receive a link to join the class (you will receive the same link again 30 minutes prior to the class). Simply click the link to join the class.

Just in case, click the button below to watch a 1 minute video which explains how to join a class via zoom:

Again, after registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. If you need to cancel your registration for some reason, please do so using the cancel option included in the link you receive.

The cost for the class is 15.00. Class Guidelines

It is recommended that you have 2 yoga blocks, a strap and a yoga mat for this class. It is also recommended that you have a chair on hand. It’s okay if you do not have these, but you may want to purchase if you plan to attend regularly.

To allow us to start on time, please plan to sign in at least 5 minutes early to the class, to allow yourself to get situated.

Please where comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely.

You may use your smart phone, laptop or computer to attend the class. Please position yourself so that you are visible in the screen. If possible, I would like to see your form from the side. Some people may wish to keep their screen off. Please note that if you choose this, I will not be able to see you and monitor your form.

To ensure optimal use of time, you will be muted when you join the class, I invite you to unmute yourself during the class if you have any questions. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions, and please mute yourself again when you are finished. If you are new to zoom, here is a brief video on how to mute/unmute yourself:

To get the most out of this class, please listen carefully to the cues and instructions. The techniques involved are designed to bring you to an inward experience of yourself. Take your time and enjoy being able to perform the exercises in your own space. If you should have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly at jim@darshancenter.com. I look forward to working with you soon!
