What is Atma?

Atma and Brahma are one and the same. The term Atma is used when referring to totality in its relationship to the individual, while Brahma is used when speaking of totality in terms of itself. Atma is oftentimes referred to as the "Self", the unchanging aspect at the root of the individual and all of creation.

अयमात्मा ब्रह्म ।
